The Fantastic Five is a story of people of five villages of District Muzaffargarh in southern Punjab of Pakistan. These villages are located beside the River Chanaab.
Among several definition of vulnerability one that people of these villages stress upon is ’being not ready’.
With support from Doaba Foundation and Welthungerhilfe (WHH) people prepared themselves for adversities. Utilizing the newly deployed early warning system the communities build a three kilometers long embankment just before the floods of 2013.
They are no ordinary villagers, their courage and self-reliance has inspired others. More and more people are grouping together to form clusters and networks.
