Statement of the Extreme Value Theorem with several graphs of examples and non-examples. A real proof of the EVT requires advanced math beyond the scope of a Calc I course, so instead we go through a few examples of applying the EVT and several examples of what could go wrong if the conditions of the EVT (continuous function, closed and bounded interval) aren't satisfied.
