00:00Hi! How are you? I'm a Chihuahua, the smallest breed in the whole wide world. Oh my! I'm
00:17so nervous! I'm lively and alert. Sometimes I'm so excited that I shake, and strangers
00:23can make me nervous. I'm really protective of my family, but not the best around small
00:28kids because I don't do well with teasing. Sometimes I nip back. Once kids are old enough
00:33to understand how to handle me, I'm a wonderful pet. Just remember, be gentle. Yo soy muy
00:39poquito. No one knows where I come from, but I am believed to be one of the oldest breeds
00:43in the Americas. The Aztecs considered us to be sacred. We were also used as a hot compress.
00:49We were placed on aches and pains, much like the modern day heating pad. We live to be
00:5414 to 18 years old. We are the smallest dog in the world, growing to a proud 6 to 9 inches.
01:01Weighing 2 to 6 pounds, look at the big brain on me. We Chihuahuas have the largest brain
01:07in the entire dog world. Well, in comparison to our body size. Start training me from day
01:14one. I can be easily potty trained, but other than that, I'm difficult. Training sessions
01:21should be short and free of distraction due to my brief attention span. Oh, wow. I'm compact,
01:27which makes me perfect for apartments and urban surroundings, but please don't forget
01:31to give me lots of exercise daily. Let's recap. I'm active, a little jumpy, and teeny weeny.
01:38I'm great for the family as long as the kids are a little older. I'm one of the oldest
01:43breeds in the Americas. I can have a lot of health issues, but trust me, I'm worth it.
01:49Training me won't be easy, but I do well in urban areas and need lots of exercise.
01:55Public speaking is not my strong point, so let's go for a walk.
