00:00Hey guys, I'm a Puggle, one of the most popular crossbreeds in America.

00:14We are very sweet dogs that love to be around people.

00:17I guess you could call us social butterflies.

00:20We are very intelligent and curious.

00:22The beagle in us loves to dig and explore.

00:25Puggles have a good amount of energy and love to play.

00:28We tend to be very cuddly.

00:30The Puggle history is about as short as our stature.

00:33We originate from Wisconsin in the 1980s when breeders decided to crossbreed a male Pug

00:38and a female Beagle.

00:40The end result was the Puggle.

00:41Fast forward to now and we are the most popular designer dog around.

00:46Puggles tend to live around 12 to 15 years.

00:49We're a little larger than our Pug fathers, standing 10 to 14 inches and weighing between

00:5413 and 20 pounds.

00:56There are such things as multi-generational crosses so our parents are not always full

01:00bred.

01:01But if we're a 50-50 mix, the mother has to be a Beagle and the father has to be a Pug.

01:08I have my mother's Beagle nose.

01:10This longer snout allows me to be more active than my Pug father.

01:14Our most common coat color is fawn with a black mask, but we can also be all black,

01:20all white, or tricolored.

01:22We inherit some health issues from both sides, like reverse sneezing from our Pug parents.

01:27We can be fairly easy to train, just remember, we may be intelligent, but we can be stubborn.

01:33I'm food motivated, I get that from my Pug dad.

01:37Just don't overfeed me.

01:38No yard?

01:39No problem!

01:40We are energetic and love to play, but as long as you take me out for multiple walks

01:44a day, I'm a happy little Puggle.

02:08I'm happy in a house with a yard, but I'm also perfectly content in an apartment.
