Princess Monster Truck has the most unique face you've ever seen for a cat. She was born this way and rescued by her owners one night when they found her on the street. They saved her life and she's been saving lives and giving back to the community ever since she went viral on Buzzfeed.

00:00She's a monster.
00:05Monster is a Persian cat.
00:06She's black and has a funny little haircut.
00:09It's a little frightening at first when you first take a look at her,
00:13but then after you see her kind of in her element, it's really cute.
00:17It's the best.
00:18She has a crooked underbite, huge yellow eyes.
00:22Definitely needs to go see an orthodontist.
00:24You see her fangs like that.
00:28I'm so nervous.
00:31Eyes are kind of wondering what the hell is going on.
00:36I think that's it.
00:38She's a sight for sore eyes, but I love her.
00:41She's from the streets, and now she's this Internet icon.
00:54They found this cat, and she was destitute.
00:58People identify with the fact that she's a rescue.
01:01I think people like to root for the underdog.
01:03She just looks like she's had the hardest life,
01:05and I am just so glad that somebody took her in and gave her the success story.
01:12They just fell in love with her and kept this cat,
01:14and I think that's such a beautiful story.
01:16She's not necessarily polished and fancy show cat,
01:20and people still like her, and she's still cool.
01:27Hi, I'm Bryce, and I own Princess Monster Truck.
01:30It's kind of the best name for a cat ever.
01:33It combines something really cute and something really badass.
01:36Obviously, I'm going to click on that,
01:38because I want to know what cat is named Princess Monster Truck.
01:41And then you see the photo, and you're like,
01:43that cat could have no other name ever.
01:45I've never seen a cat look like that before.
01:49It just took one person to tell another person,
01:52just a spider web of people that know each other.
01:56And then it quickly got back to BuzzFeed.
01:59BuzzFeed contacted us and then ran that initial story.
02:04That article got a couple hundred thousand hits in the first week,
02:08and then it just kept growing from there.
02:10Then it kind of started sinking in that it was a bigger deal.
02:13Its face is just so much more adorable,
02:16and you're just like, can a cat get even cuter?
02:18But it actually can.
02:19When you have something that looks like this cat does,
02:23there's going to be so much comments on it.
02:25We had a few thousand followers, and we thought that was insane.
02:2910,000 followers, 20,000 followers.
02:32From there, it's pretty obvious that it's gone viral.
02:38Tracy, my girlfriend, and I found her together.
02:41She kind of stumbled out of these bushes and practically ran into us.
02:45When she looked up at us with her crazy teeth,
02:48we were just giggling.
02:51She was super sweet.
02:53It seemed like she was desperate to be taken care of.
02:59She was really skinny.
03:01She was just in such poor shape.
03:03We took her in and cleaned her up and took her to the vet.
03:07One major question was if something had happened to her jaw.
03:09If her jaw had gotten broken.
03:11But luckily not.
03:13She was born like that.
03:15Right away, we started calling her Monster
03:17because she just looked like this little monster.
03:20We introduced her to our friend.
03:22She was like, she's not a monster, she's a princess.
03:25Then our other friend came over and started calling her Monster Truck.
03:29She didn't look like any cat we'd ever seen.
03:34My girlfriend Tracy and I have a small little jewelry line that's our hobby.
03:39She was putting pictures of Monster on the Instagram account.
03:44All these people were more interested in the cat than in us.
03:50As a joke, she created Monster's own Instagram account.
03:54Instantly that account took off.
03:56It's nice that a cat can have a really bad life
03:58and then all of a sudden become an internet celebrity.
04:00It's adorable.
04:02There's no way that you don't want to share that cat.
04:05Monster is just so photogenic,
04:07so there's not really a whole big strategy for photo taking.
04:11She's always inevitably doing something funny or cute.
04:16It's pretty natural.
04:18And now she's a princess of the internet,
04:20which is what everyone wants to be.
04:22It's a princess of the internet.
04:26The t-shirts designs, we wanted them to feel like old punk rock t-shirts
04:31or old rock and roll t-shirts.
04:33If we can sell merchandise and then donate the proceeds to animals
04:38that may be in a situation like Monster was in,
04:41then it's kind of like the cat's giving back to her own community,
04:44which is kind of a cool thing to think about.
04:49I don't think about her as a meme.
04:51I think of her as a cat.
04:53I clean up her poop and pee.
04:56I really don't think there's any secret to making your pet internet famous.
05:01It's like trying to be cool.
05:03You just have to be cool.
05:05She's not going to be famous forever,
05:07and we're still going to have her and we're still going to love her.
05:09It's just cool that we get to share her with everybody
05:11for however long we get to.
05:13It's this mutual relationship where you take care of them
05:17and in certain ways, in taking care of them, they take care of you.
