Unanimous Vote In San Francisco Bans Most Animal Performances

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors recently voted unanimously to ban the use of wild and exotic animals in area performances.

San Francisco intends to no longer allow wild or exotic animals to be used in area performances.
In a recent unanimous vote, the city’s Board of Supervisors passed the measure to "protect wild and exotic animals from cruel and inhumane treatment and to protect the public from the danger posed by the use of wild and exotic animals for entertainment." 
Supervisor Katy Tang, who sponsored the measure, explained to the other members that it is an attempt to “address the inequalities for a population that can’t speak for themselves.” A
