CBC host Jian Ghomeshi fired because of his private bedroom antics

Jian Ghomeshi, host of the popular arts radio show Q broadcast around the world from Toronto, was sacked over the weekend by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in the wake of shocking reports about the radio star’s alternative sex life.

Ghomeshi worked for the CBC for 14 years and had the broadcaster’s highest rated show. But recently, all sorts of rumors about the radio star’s private sex life have to come to light, culminating with several women telling the Toronto Star about the radio personality's penchant for non consensual rough sex.

Since none of the women have gone on record or filed police reports, the allegations were initially viewed as heresay by the CBC, and the Toronto Star refused to publish the reports. However the crown broadcaster decided to let Ghomeshi go on the grounds that his sexual behavior was “unbecoming of a prominent host,” prompting the Star to publish its report.

Ghomeshi left a lengthy post on his Facebook page saying the entire story was fabricated by an ex-girlfriend who was upset that he off broke their relationship. Ghomeshi said his former employers reversed their initial decision not to fire him “based on a smear campaign.” He intends to file a lawsuit for $50 million Canadian dollars for breach of contract.
