Man killed by subway: Murder suspect Kevin Darden arrested for pushing man onto tracks
  • 9 years ago
Police arrested 32-year-old Kevin Darden in New York City yesterday on murder charges in connection with a case of pushing a straphanger to his death at a subway station last Sunday.

Wai Kuen Kwok, 61, and his wife were on the platform at the 161st St Station in the Bronx. For absolutely no reason whatsoever, Darden walked behind Wai and shoved him off the platform and into the path of an oncoming D train, where he was killed almost instantly.

Darden is homeless and has a long history of mostly petty crimes, including pickpocketing, attempted arson and assault. He is also a suspect in a separate incident where another man was pushed to the ground at a different subway station.
