Maine resident Mark Forino was driving his minivan east along Route 163 near Ashland on Sunday night when a moose decided to cross the road in front of him.
The result was, predictably messy, with the moose making a grand old mess of Forino’s Toyota Sienna.
But remarkably Forino escaped with hardly a scratch, suffering only a few cuts and bruises and needed shattered glass flushed from his eyes.
The same cannot be said for the poor old moose, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
