Birthday present fail: Parents find daughter high on K and have her arrested

Last week in Taoyuan, a city just outside of Taipei, a divorced couple agreed to go to their daughter’s apartment and celebrate their daughter’s birthday together as a family.
Their daughter originally asked her parents for a new television, and asked them to have dinner with her together.
Only, when the parents arrived they were shocked to discover their daughter and her boyfriend high on Special K, or ketamine.
After getting over their initial shock at their daughter’s behavior, the parents asked her boyfriend to leave. The boyfriend snapped back that he’d paid for the girl’s time and he was staying.
Turns out that the daughter was working at a hostess bar and the so-called boyfriend was actually her sponsor, primary squeeze, and a married man besides. Plus, the daughter was also pregnant with his child.
The parents argued with the daughter to return home and move in with one of them where she could detox and get her life back together. After refusing to do so, stating that she didn’t need her parents, her father finally called the police.
When the police arrived, the father told the police officers to go ahead and arrest his daughter. He admitted he couldn’t control her and the best thing for her now was to stay clean until the baby was born.
Talk about a scheduling conflict.
