Facebook fat emoji: #FatIsNotAFeeling is an attempt to delete an emoticon

There's a petition on Change.org that is out to eliminate the 'Fat' emoji from Facebook. If you're like me and didn't know that didn't even exist before now, you're not alone.
Catherine Weingarten of Endangered Bodies did, and I guess that's enough. She had an eating disorder that she overcame and insists that the emoji shouldn't be used because it makes fun of overweight people.
I'm not too sure I agree with this standpoint, though. Sometimes I DO feel fat — especially after a big meal. I'd love to have a way to convey that feeling with a doodle in a message. With the current sticker and emoji craze going on, I'm really surprised we don't have access to even more accurate emoticons. Sometimes you just want to sum all of your emotions up without the hassle of text or voice.
Just think about how people are starting to share the most minute of minutia in their daily lives. No, no, no. We shouldn't limit ourselves to just a few emoji no matter how many folks get offended; it's a matter of free speech after all.
In that vein, how about spending less time banning stuff and more time educating people on why you shouldn't discriminate against other people. One slightly fluffy emotive symbol's disappearance isn't going to make ignorant dumbassery vanish, right?
