Interviews from Washington DC - Cybersecurity

In today’s program, our host Jorge Gestoso interviews Jay Stanley of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) on the topic of cybersecurity. The conversation with the Senior Policy Analyst revolves around the failure of privacy mechanisms to catch up with the explosion in surveillance technology. Now when there is increasing citizen interest in encryption as a protective measure against violations of privacy by hackers, foreign governments or our own governments, such technologies along with the passage of protective legislation could resolve problems such as government secrecy, which is itself rampant and out of control, says the ACLU representative.
