This lovely tune comes from Lennon's 1971 album imagine, and just 1 year of solo work later, already displays the hallmarks of Solo Artist Slowdown. Worrying indicators are Serious Lyrics, lots of piano and a track length of over 4 minutes.
It's been covered a huge number of times, most famously by Roxy Music, but that is even longer with Bryan Ferry club-singing his way through it with a horrible pink tie.
Here the original version is presented, as it should be, 15 percent faster and I'm sure you'll agree much improved.
