Police in New Jersey stopped two enterprising teens from advertising their snow shoveling business on the grounds that solicitation is illegal. Eric Shnepf and Matt Molinari say an officer in Bound Brook, NJ told them they could shovel driveways if people called and asked them to do it, but they couldn’t go door-to-door advertising their business, due to solicitation laws.
