NASA's Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) satellite has successfully separated from the Delta II upperstage and is now in orbit after it's mission. Liftoff occurred at 14:20 UTC from Vandenberg Air Force Base with separation of SMAP occurring at 15:18 UTC.
