Andy Lally heard a strange noise while driving at 5 in the morning, but he was unaware the Porsche 911 GT America had hit anything until 9 a.m. when Magnus Racing crew members popped the front-mounted trunk and witnessed the dead possum lying inside.

Lally, who is an advocate for animal rights, remarked, "It came through the front end of my car, through the tub, ripped through the rivets and ended up in the trunk. I guess it’s ironic that it happened to me. Sad day for the possum, sad day for Magnus Racing."
