Favorite food of many Maharashtrians, Zunka is a traditional authentic recipe which tastes best with Bhakri. Zunka is a dry Gram Flour preparation and the best part is that it can be made in just 10 minutes!
Ingredients:
150 gms Gram Flour 1 tbsp Mix Masala 2 Onions 1 Spring Onion 1 inch Ginger 12 to 15 cloves Garlic 1/4th tsp Turmeric 1/4th tsp Asafoetida Coriander as required Salt as per taste 4 tsp Oil
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once the mustard seeds start spluttering, add ginger garlic paste, coriander leaves, onion, salt, turmeric powder & mix masala. Let all the ingredients cook for some time. -Add spring onion and mix well. It enhances the taste of Zunka. -Add gram flour & mix well. Make sure there are no lumps. -Add little water to keep the Zunka moist. Repeat this step for two more times and mix well. -Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 5 to 10 mins on a low flame. -Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot.
