US State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki reported that Havana has freed some of the 53 counterrevolutionary prisons as agreed upon in last month's agreement between the United States and Cuba. She did not mention a specific number, but indicated that the prior freeing of all of the 53 was not a precondition for holding the immigration and normalization talks slated for later this month. teleSUR
