Our colleagues’ visit to Fener Greek Patriarch Bartholomeos

- Teacher, our colleagues Sinem Tezyapar, Ayça Pars and Cihat Gündoğdu paid a visit to Patriarch Bartholomeos as your representatives. They gave him Turkish and English language editions of your books 'Pleasant Words from the Gospel', 'Islam Condemns terror', 'Let Us be United' and 'The Atlas of Creation.' They also gave him an agate and gold prayer bead set in a mother of pearl box and a signed letter from you. The patriarch expressed his thanks and sent his regards. He greeted our colleagues very warmly. When our colleagues read him verses of the Qur’an concerning Christianity he immediately stood up and showed them a Greek language version of the Qur’an. Referring to the bloodshed going on in the name of Islam, he says, ‘They are not being fair to Islam.’ He said that the three revealed faiths more in common than the differences between them. Our colleagues invited the patriarch back. They agreed to stay in touch.
