In Vitro Fertilization fails because many of the embryos that are transferred, despite having good morphology, are chromosomally abnormal (aneuploid). Using preimplantation genetic screening of embryos by performing blastocyst biopsy and analyzing by array CGH and freezing embryos, allows transfer of a single thawed euploid (chromosomally normal) embryo resulting in high pregnancy rates, low miscarriage rates and no ectopics.
