This presentation outlines the difficulties involved in the implementation of prospectively randomized clinical trials (RCTs) in clinical embryology procedures. The indis scriminate use of the RCT in clinical embryology is based on the narrow premise that randomization and patient concealment are sufficient to protect the study from bias. In this presentation the speaker will present evidence that this premise is often incorrect.
