Caroline and Rick greet a new day; they talk about Christmas. Caroline spent Christmas with the Spencer; Rick volunteering. Caroline offers to make Rick breakfast he declines. Caroline says he is still upset with her. Rick says he is here isn't he? Caroline replies he is different. Caroline says their marriage use to be easy and now it is an effort. Rick says he is over the past. Caroline says she wants the marriage to work and she feels as if he resents her. Rick reassures her she is wrong but, leaves for work. Caroline is left heartbroken as Rick goes to work. Caroline still wants a baby.
