Two men in Florida are facing charges of grand theft after surveillance cameras captured their alleged scheme.

One of the males ended up faking a heart attack while the other made it out of a store with a cart full of toys that weren’t paid for.

The suspects, identified as 30-year-old Tarus Scott and 27-year-old Genard Dupree, entered a Walmart in Lake Wales and started browsing. Almost right away, they set their sights on a ‘Power Wheels’ Barbie car.

Together, the duo lifted the large box and placed it into their cart before heading to a different part of the store.

Once they were near the exit doors, Dupree lay on the floor and clutched his chest, making other concerned shoppers believe he was suffering from a heart attack. As the attention was focused on Dupree, Scott casually walked out of the store with the cart of toys.

The Polk County Sheriff remarked “He didn’t even like go down hard on the ground. He just kind of rolled around a little bit and wanted to make sure he created some distraction while his buddy walked out.”

After Scott made it outside, Dupree stood up and headed to the parking lot. They took off with the battery-operated car, a Barbie Glam Vacation House and a Leap Frog Tablet. The combined value of everything was around $370.

They were arrested not long after the theft.
