A Japanese man spent quite some time preparing for an epic marriage proposal. Back in 2008, artist Yassan quit his job and began traveling all over his home country of Japan so he could create a massive GPS drawing with the words every girlfriend wants to hear, or in this case, see.

He carried out the feat in 2008, but the story has recently been trending online. For the journey, he tracked his movements across the island nation with a GPS.

He used his nearly 45 hundred mile venture to spell out the words ‘Marry Me’. Over the duration of six months, Takahashi utilized his feet and recruited cars and even ferries to spell the proposal across Japan.

The lovestruck man also went the extra miles to add a heart with an arrow. In the end, all his painstaking work paid off. The marriage proposal was clearly seen in GPS imagery.

Even better than that, his girlfriend said yes. In 2010, his impressive and romantic trek landed a Guinness World Record for the ‘Largest GPS Drawing'.
