Mexico: gov't to release arrested protesters without charges

Mexican Interior Minister Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong announced that the government would release protesters arrested at the end of the mammoth November 20 marches demanding justice for the 43 disappeared Ayotzinapa Teachers Training College students. Police arrested 11 persons, some of whom were onlookers with no connection to the protests; they were send to high level security prisoners and were reportedly subject to torture. Osorsio said they would be released due to lack of evidence. The arrests further stoked outage in sectors of the Mexican population already infuriated by the Ayotzinapa scandal. teleSUR
