For a moment there, it all looked rather bleak.

But this dog lives to bark another die despite being squeezed by a mammoth python.

The incredible footage shows a snake attempting to suffocate the household pet to death.

The dog appears rigid and lifeless.

But as the cameraman edges closer the monster releases its vice-like grip and slithers into a bush – releasing the pooch which springs back to life.
