the scene picks up where it left off on 10/10/14. Eric is not retiring, he is just taking a step down. Eric says he wants to be like his brother and enjoy life a bit. Eric wants to leave one of his sons in charge. Caroline asks which son? Eric asks Caroline's advice. Caroline ask why he is asking her - she knows his sons the best. Eric talks about the company and he says he will give them a decision very soon he leaves. Ridge asks Caroline if she knew this was happening, she says no. Caroline tells Ridge that he is going to be able to draw soon. Ridge wants to talk about what she said earlier. Caroline calls her feelings a school girl crush; Ridge has a crush on her as well. Caroline says that it inappropriate that these feelings have to go away. They talk about the company its best the company is ran by a designer. Ridge tells her that Eric asked her opinion because he cares about her future. Ridge tells Caroline that she deserves more in life than being known as Rick's wife. Ridge tells Caroline that she is so much more and that Rick is not worthy of her. Caroline loves her husband Rick and wants him to be happy. Ridge tells her to be true to herself and what she wants. Caroline asks if Ridge is saying that he is going to leave Katie for her. Ridge is tongue tied and grabs Caroline and kisses her and she kisses him back. After the kiss Caroline appears to be shocked and a little mesmerized.
