Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated September 24th, 2014
I spoke of establishing a secure zone in Syria years ago. What could be more natural than that? It was done in Iraq and was successful there. There would be a no-fly zone and no land passage in the longitude and latitude to be determined. The border area will be determined and innocent people will be settled there. It will be announced that these people are not to be touched. Syria will not be able to break the measure because it has its own problems.
Moves need to be made to convince Russia not to oppose it. Russia can be convinced.
Obama and Putin need to meet with Turkish officials. A joint meeting can be held with the two leaders and he can be won over.
- Obama issued a call to peace to Putin at the U.N. today. He said they wanted to be friends if he would promise to be democratic.
Adnan Oktar: They must not make Putin uneasy. There are several points on which he is already alarmed for his country’s sake. But he can easily be won over if they are not touched. We can have a meeting with the Russian ambassador here.
- Russia is always bringing up the subject of Ukraine. Europe and America are not making concessions on that subject. Russia is troubled by the sanctions, for which reason it does not generally favor proposals made by America.
Adnan Oktar: There is nothing wrong with the idea of establishing a secure zone. Syrian territory will not be seized. There will just be a temporary safe zone for its people. What could be more normal than that? Instead of migrating to other countries people will be able to stay in their own. Syrian citizens can remain in safety in their own country. You can set up a zone where terror cannot enter, where only U.N. officials can enter. There is nothing abnormal about that.
Let us learn what Putin does not regard as acceptable. There need to be mediators on these matters. Because vitally important measures are being protracted for reasons that can be easily solved.
- Syria says that would mean occupation of its territory.
Adnan Oktar: Russian troops can go to the region. Let Russian troops set up a safe zone and protect the people. Simple as that.
- Russia is afraid of being isolated.
Adnan Oktar: Turkey’s friendship is all Russia needs. Erdoğan must give Putin constant guarantees. He must say that Russia will not be left isolated. If Turkey gives guarantees in favor of Russia, Russia will be able to relax. Because Turkey is a country in a key position. Turkey being on Russia’s side means the whole Middle East being on Russia’s side. Turkey represents both Europe and the Middle East. Erdoğan must therefore guarantee the Russian people that they will not be left isolated. That is vital. Let us also send Erdoğan a letter about that It is important to stand up for Putin. They must stand up for Putin.
