Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar told President Putin about a plan to set up such a museum, the Interfax news agency reported Tuesday. Putin has promised to give this initiative not only moral but also financial support.
"That’s a good idea and, as the first step, I will contribute one monthly salary to the museum’s construction fund," Putin told the rabbi during a meeting in his Novo-Ogaryovo residence outside Moscow.
