One of the many rarities of the great Vertigo catalogue, this is a good instrumental jazz-prog album; BEN reminds me to the most famous jazz-rock bands such as NUCLEUS and SOFT MACHINE. here are 4 long tracks( the first one "The Influence" is a suite divided in 7 movements), excellent musicianship and lots of flute, keyboards, sax and guitars. The weakest parts here are the vocals but the rest is pretty good and well played. I own a copy of the album on LP (2003 Akarma Records), but it's available also on Repertoire records (Repertoire 1991).

Personnel:

- Peter Davey (Alto, Tenor, Soprano and Baritone Saxophone, Flute and Clarinet)
- Alex Macleery (Electric Piano, Harpsichord and Moog Synthesiser)
- Gerry Reid (Electric and Acoustic Guitars)
- Len Surtees (Bass)
- David Sheen (Drums, Congas, Percussion and Vocals)
