Bram Stoker's Dracula

(1973) Jack Palance delivers a memorable portrayal of the Transylvanian Lord of the Undead in this mid-Seventies adaptation of Stoker's famous vampire novel. The screenplay by Richard Matheson, was lensed first for television by Dan ("Dark Shadows") Curtis, then re-edited for later theatrical release. Though certain elements are changed from the original story, this is in many ways more faithful to the novel than any of the cinematic variations that preceded it. Palance dominates the proceedings, as well he should.
