Libyans face gas shortages after fuel depot set ablaze

Heavy plumes of smoke rise above Tripoli.
A huge fuel depot is burning out of control, set ablaze in fighting between rival militias.
...and with millions of litres of fuel destroyed...Tripoli's residents are now dealing with the consequences.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) TRIPOLI RESIDENT, MOHAMMED ALGIRIANI, SAYING:
"The holidays are here and people want to enjoy Eid but they can not. They want to go out and shop for Eid, but they don't have one drop of petrol."
Most gas stations in Tripoli have been closed since the fighting erupted in a battle over the airport.
So for motorists there's no choice but to sit in line....and wait.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) TUNISIAN WORKER AT ABUSTAH GAS STATION, MARWAN, SAYING:
"Libya is the world's third largest producer of oil, so how is it possible not to have oil?
With holiday travel plans ruined, drivers deal with their frustration on what should be a day to celebrate.
