Tragedy struck deep as well hard when a single-engine plane piloted by a couple of American education activists of Pakistani origin, crashed into Pacific Ocean off the coast of Samoa Islands.

Babar Suleman (father) and 17-year-old Haris Suleman (son) were on a fundraising mission for the children's education.

They had set about to fly around the globe in just 30 days on a small single-engine aircraft.

The plane went down on its way to Christmas Islands after taking off from New Caledonia.

Their itinerary had included stopovers in Canada, Iceland, England, Greece, Egypt, Pakistan, Indonesia, Australia, Fiji, American Samoa, Kiribati, Hawaii and California.

According to US coast guard, Haris's dead body has been pulled out of the sea, while search was still underway for his father.
