The Angara rocket launched for the very first time in the 1.2 configuration, this includes a single Univeral Rocket Module 'URM' with a single chambered RD-191 rocket engine burning Liquid Oxygen and Refined Kerosene.

Further configurations involve multiple 'URM's from 3 up to 7. This first inaugural flight was a suborbital mission and sets the path for the eventual use of Angara to replace Zenit, Rokot and Proton vehicles.
