Under a law passed in 1996, Italy's government has seized thousands of hectares of land from the mafia and redistributed it for public use. In some areas cooperatives have been formed to build farms on reclaimed land. But as Dominic Kane now reports from Sicily despite this the fear of Mafia threats still persists.
