Réalisé à la suite de "480 secondes du Canyon de Chelly", "88 secondes du Lomaki Pueblo" est une succession de plans silencieux de 4 secondes suivant le sentier du Lomaki Pueblo, à l'intérieur du Monument National de Wupatki. Tout ce qu'il reste du paysage est devenu décor, et les nombreuses pancartes balisant le chemin sont là pour nous rappeler qu'à travers le tourisme de masse, nous continuons de produire de nouvelles formes de colonisation.
Ce court-métrage est issu du "Tour Operator Project" ("TOP"), un ensemble de 1200 plans vidéo de 4 secondes filmés en 2013 lors d'un voyage aux États-Unis.
Inspiré de "L'Impossible Voyage" de Marc Augé, "TOP" interroge les images générées par le tourisme de masse et leur éphémérité. Que peut-on voir en 4 secondes ? Et en 88 secondes ? À la manière des flux d'informations qui nous submergent aujourd'hui, à peine commence-t-on à regarder un plan qu'il est aussitôt remplacé par un autre. À la fin du voyage, "TOP" nous aura permis de tout voir sans avoir rien vu.

Created after "480 seconds of the Canyon de Chelly", "88 seconds of Lomaki Pueblo" is a succession of 4-second silent shots following the trail of Lomaki Pueblo, inside the National Monument of Wupatki. All that is left of the landscape has become scenery, and the many signs restricting the way are there to remind us that through mass tourism we continue to produce new forms of colonization.
This short movie is extracted from the "Tour Operator Project" ("TOP"), a set of 1200 4-second video shots made in 2013 during a trip to the United States.
Inspired by "L'Impossible Voyage" by Marc Augé, "TOP" questions the images generated by mass tourism and their ephemerality. What can be seen in 4 seconds ? What about 88 seconds ? Like the streams of information that overwhelm us today, hardly do we begin to look at one plan that it is already replaced by another one. At the end of the journey, "TOP" will have allowed us to see everything without having seen anything.
