00:00It's impossible, I feel, for amateur boxing not to exist, but amateur boxing gives the
00:13kids a voice.
00:15Boxing, most people that turn to boxing come from really tough neighborhoods.
00:22In a sense, they're fighting, they're trying to fight their way out.
00:25I know that was the way it was for me.
00:28And so, boxing kind of gives them an identity, gives them life.
00:40They feel important.
00:41The neighborhood roots for them, and they come watch them train, and watch them fight,
00:46and root them on.
00:47And so, they get to feel that sense of life, and that's what we're all looking for, you
00:53know?
00:54You get to leave some room, and for some special moments, believe me, you know, you get plenty
01:02of that in this sport.
01:24There's no better contest than one man going against the other.
01:49What can you think of?
01:50I mean, you're alone, you have no help.
01:54Only your own strength and ability, that's all you have going for you.
02:03You haven't got anything else.
