Also known by the (slightly) less lurid title CASTLE OF THE WALKING DEAD, this little charmer stars Christopher Lee in what was ostensibly inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's "The Pit and the Pendulum". Well, there IS a pendulum in there somewhere--AND a snake-pit--but that ain't the half of it, brave hearts. It seems Count Regula (Lee) is a practicing alchemist and Satanist with plans on immortality. Then again, since he somehow returns from being executed at the beginning of the movie, he must be onto something...
