Zwolle is de hoofdstad van de Nederlandse provincie Overijssel en tevens Hanzestad. Zwolle ligt aan het Zwarte Water en de Overijsselse Vecht en is via het Zwolle-IJsselkanaal verbonden met de IJssel.
