Bangladesh abductions blamed on state forces

Political abductions are on the rise in Bangladesh with more than 50 political activists reported missing this year.

Most of those abducted belong to opposition parties or rebel factions of the ruling party.

Leaders and activists from the targeted organisations say they often now only move about in groups for safety.

Human rights groups are blaming the disappearances on security forces.

Al Jazeera's Maher Sattar reports from Narayanganj.
