Riot police used water cannon and tear gas to disperse protesters in central Ankara on Friday. The protesters work in two hydro-electric power plants located in Yatagan, Mugla province. They are demonstrating against the proposed privatization of the two power blocs, fearing the loss of their jobs should the assets be sold off.
