I actually sympathize with NoSC'o complaint that "[m]odern-day Christians" don't know the teachings of Jesus well. Problem is, neither does he! So I sent two of my classic characters from the 80s -- the Time Turkeys -- to arrest him following his lecture to Stick Figure Jesus. Yep, once again, NoSCo confuses his own anachronistic understandings based on "[Jesus'] words as they are spoken" with their meaning within their social and theological contexts. Dang.
NoSCo says: "Rather than admit that you don't actually obey Jesus' instructions, perhaps instead you could leave a comment telling me that I am ignorant, and that I could never have been a Christian." OK. I'll buy half of that.
