Judge Tells Father to Stop Emailing in All Caps

A father trying to regain visitation rights with his children was told by a judge to stop sending them emails using all capital letters.
A father trying to regain visitation rights with his children was told by a judge to stop sending them emails using all capital letters.
He was informed that doing so makes it appear as if he is shouting at them.
The father and the children’s mother have been engaged in a battle over how much and what type of interaction he is to have with the kids.
They have been fighting in both Israeli and UK courts, and most recently their grievances were heard by a judge in England.
Ultimately the judge ruled that the father, known for being insensitive, wasn’t quite ready for in-person visits, but recommended some other ways to rebuild the severely damaged relationship.
On the topic of emails, it was suggested that he consult a family assistance officer for some tips on how to send appropriate ones.
The judge said, “He needs help to make his messages appropriate and child friendly. There's nothing worse than an email suggestive that the sender is shouting at you."
The judge advised the father begin rebuilding his relationship with the children from a distance and suggested that when sending correspondence he begin by focusing on the children’s achievements.
