France Renewables Market BMI View: We are maintaining our short- and long-term forecasts for the non-hydropower renewable energy sector in France this quarter as our assumptions remain relevant. We highlight that the government's position on nuclear energy continues to be relatively ambiguous, and we have seen signs that President François Hollande might backtrack on his promise to reduce the share of nuclear energy to 50% by 2025. This has been our core view from the start, and the possible decommissioning of reactors poses an upside risk to our long-term forecasts.
