The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) shares rose 0.26 percent to $79.70 in morning trading on Tuesday after the entertainment company announced plans to acquire YouTube video producer Maker Studios for $500 million, one of the largest video distributors for Google's YouTube unit.
