Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are thick as thieves when it comes to collaborations. The real life friends have worked with each other numerous times and one of the most memorable has to be the 2010 thriller "Shutter Island."
The film focused on Leonardo DiCaprio as a police detective who along with his partner (Mark Ruffalo) arrive at an isolated prison hospital to investigate the disappearance of a patient. Yet audiences eventually discover DiCaprio is actually a patient himself and the entire thing is a ruse concocted by the staff to help him cope with his own mental break. Audiences were shocked by the twist, but should have been expecting one going in given that "Shutter Island" is actually an anagram for "Truth and Lies." Cool right?
