Missing Malaysian flight families threaten hunger strike as search drags on

Agony turned to anger on Tuesday when furious family members of Chinese passengers on missing Malaysian flight MH370 threatened to go on hunger strike.
With few answers and little trust in the authorities, they called on Malaysia’s government to tell them the truth as to the fate of their loved ones.
It is now more than ten days since the Boeing triple seven completely vanished.
“The Malaysians are counting days, but we the Chinese, are counting the seconds. Families are at breaking point. There are so many families coming and going, some have already left. The young people can stand it, but the elderly have already broken down,” one relative said.
But the mystery surrounding the jet’s whereabouts seems no closer to being solved.
The unprecedented search now encompasses a massive area, more than seven and half million square kilometres, around the size of Australia.
In Kuala Lumpar, several hundred people held a candle lit vigil in support of MH370.
For now, Malaysian authorities believe someone on board the plane, with considerable flying experience, deliberately diverted it after disabling the jet’s communications systems.
