27-year-old Katheryn Deprill was only hours old when her mom left her in the bathroom of a Burger King restaurant. Thankfully someone heard her crying and alerted staff of the baby lying on the floor.

She was placed into foster care with a family who later adopted her and raised Deprill as their own child. Despite Deprill’s traumatic start to life as an infant, she thrived in the following yeas and claimed to have had the ‘best childhood’.

But in her own words she felt as though ‘a piece of her was missing’. Deprill says she is not looking to replace her adopted siblings and parents.

As a mom of three kids, Deprill would like to know her medical history and possibly develop a friendship with the woman who abandoned her so many years ago. Amazingly, she has no hard feelings and wants to express gratitude for not throwing her away.

Deprill’s simple Facebook photo shows her smiling face with a sign that tells her sad story. That single picture has been shared over 12,000 times.
