"12 Years a Slave" and Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" may have been making the headlines this week, but it's Disney's "Frozen" that's been making the dollars.

The animated ice adventure has hit the billion dollar global box office mark.

And that's on top of the two Oscars it won at the weekend.

One was for Best Original Song for "Let It Go", featuring Idina Menzel, as well as Best Animated Feature.

Menzel performed the song at the Academy Awards, after an awkward introduction from John Travolta.

The film's success looks set to continue as well.

It will start adding DVD sales to its tally when it comes out in the U.S. on March 18.
