Cyprus has voted to adopt a controversial privatisation law covering the main public services. It allows a fresh slice of a 10-billion-euro international loan to be released. First to be sold will be telecoms, followed by the electricity company and the ports authority. A demonstration outside parliament protested against the sell-off.
